~ Meet Teresa ~
Teresa Greco is a nurse practitioner, functional medicine practitioner, and coach whose work is shaped by both clinical experience and personal transformation.
Her journey into this field began long before her formal training — rooted in early experiences in mission work, a calling to care for others, and a deep curiosity about healing that continues to unfold over time.
My Story
In 1985, I went on my first mission trip to India, where I traveled for a month with a team of ministers and led worship for their meetings. Years later, in 1996, I returned to mission work — this time in Guatemala — where I assisted a physician and nurse practitioner in a medical clinic.
It was during that experience that something shifted. I discovered a deep desire to care for others in a more tangible way and felt a clear calling to pursue nursing. I knew I wanted to become a nurse practitioner, build my own practice, and serve others through medical missions.
After returning home, I began my formal training at Harrisburg Community College, graduating with honors in 2000. I went on to build my clinical foundation working in both critical care and emergency medicine, serving patients in high-acuity settings for over a decade.
During this time, I also stepped into leadership as an Assistant Director of Nursing in long-term care. While I valued that experience, I found myself drawn back to direct patient care and returned to the hospital setting, where I continued working in critical care and emergency departments.
In 2014, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing through Grand Canyon University, graduating with honors.
Remembering that early calling, I went on to pursue my Master of Science in Nursing through Chamberlain University, becoming a board-certified family nurse practitioner in 2020.
At the same time, my path began to expand beyond conventional medicine. I pursued additional training and certification in traditional naturopathy, Neuro Emotional Technique (NET), and functional medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine, along with advanced training in cellular healing through the Pompa Program.
My Journey Towards Health
Personal Health Challenges
After years of working in high-stress clinical environments while raising a family, I began to experience my own health challenges — fatigue, chronic pain, and symptoms that didn’t have clear answers.
Looking back, many of these symptoms began earlier in life, but over time they became more persistent and difficult to ignore.
Searching For Answers
In the late 1990s, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. At the time, there were few answers and even fewer effective treatments.
Years later, more extensive testing revealed elevated Epstein-Barr virus antibodies and significant nutrient deficiencies. While some treatments provided partial improvement, I still wasn’t experiencing full healing.
Turning Point: Functional Medicine
Over time, I began exploring a different approach — one that looked beyond symptoms to the underlying causes. Through changes in nutrition, lifestyle, and deeper functional medicine work, I began to understand what had been driving my symptoms all along.
This journey transformed not only my health, but also the way I practice medicine.
Mind-Body Connection (NET)
I also came to recognize the significant role that emotional and neurological patterns play in physical health. Through Neuro Emotional Technique (NET), I discovered a powerful method for addressing unresolved stress patterns within the body — something that has become an important part of both my own healing and my work with others.
Personal Life
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy traveling, doing mission work, serving among indigenous nations, cooking, gardening, reading, and creating music. I have recorded original songs and continue to write and collaborate with others who share a heart for creativity and expression.
Most importantly, I cherish time with my family — my children, grandchildren, and close friends.
